New Hope of Indiana is seeking a Job Coach/Supported Employment Consultant to join our growing team. Work schedule is general business hours; however, occasional flexibility is required to accommodate evening or weekend hours. 

What we’re looking for – Job Coach/Supported Employment Consultant:
You will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in someone’s life through meaningful employment. You will work with individuals referred through the State of Indiana Vocational Services. Those referred have a wide range of differing abilities. You will spend time getting to know the person and their employment interests. You will find job opportunities that match those interests, assist in their application, and, upon hire, assist in on-the-job training.

What your day to day looks like – Job Coach/Supported Employment Consultant:

  • Observe and documents individuals' vocational assets and limitations, ability to engage in competitive employment, need for and ability to benefit from supported employment, including natural support. 
  • Develop appropriate employment opportunities in the community.
  • Identify and develop job sites in the community based on individual needs, abilities, goals, and preferences.
  • Ensure continuity of care and accessibility to meet the comprehensive needs of individuals.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with employers to develop natural supports for the individual in the work setting.
  • Manage a caseload of twenty (20) or more individuals while meeting billable hours and milestone requirements.
  • Navigate and maintain files for individuals in multiple computer programs (internal and external).
  • Serve as a liaison to Vocational Rehabilitation offices and Counselors in order to meet the needs of the individuals. 
  • Maintain BIN (Benefits Informational Network) certification and participate in other continuing education opportunities provided by New Hope.
  • Document and monitor progress and attendance to ensure goals of the ISP are appropriate.
  • Provide onsite job coaching and follow along support.
  • Maintain all individual files and HIPAA compliance for privacy while ensuring best practices.
  • Engage in cultivating relationships and fostering community connections to create and broaden inclusive job opportunities.
  • Transport individuals to and from work sites, etc. as needed.
  • Build relationships and community connections to further enhance and expand job opportunities

What you bring to the table - Job Coach/Supported Employment Consultant:

  • High School Diploma 
  • Valid Indiana Driver's License with six (6) points or less
  • Current auto insurance
  • Willing to use personal vehicle as needed to transport individuals
  • BIN certification required within one (1) year of hire
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word)
